How to Adopt a Horse from FOER
All of our adoptable horses at Fallen Oak equine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. have completed their recovery to the point where we believe they are ready for their forever home. As you will see, some of our residents are offered as 'Companion Only' due to age or injury and others are ready to move on and live productive, useful lives.
Due to the neglect and abuse many of our horses have suffered, we are very particular about the homes they will receive once they leave our facility. Each Adoptive Parent should visit their prospective horse at least three times to bond and acclimate; these visits also allow Fallen Oak Staff to ensure they will make a good match in the long-run.
A facility inspection of the Adoptive Parent's home will also be completed, as well as other processes to ensure the safety and well-being of the adopted equine.
All of our adoptable equines can be viewed on our website - if you see a horse that you may be interested in adopting please complete the Adoption Application and Liability Waiver form below.
As always, feel free to contact us if you have any more questions about a horse or the adoptive process.
